Adam Letts is a developer and creator leveraging diffusion models towards image and animation generation. He is the maintainer of Disco Diffusion under the pseudonym gandamu_ml. More recently, Adam is contributing to innovative image generation and animation as a lead developer at Stability AI.

Adam began development with an interest in audiovisual demonstrations as part of the demoscene. This focus on fast, efficient real-time algorithms led him to write inner loops for elliptic curve cryptography and embedded software for the initial release of the BlackBerry, and into rendering and PC lead development at Electronic Arts in Vancouver. He subsequently created art tooling and frontends for CorelDRAW and did fullstack development in the financial and telecom domains. The emergence of text-to-image machine learning as a viable creative tool brought Adam back into creation of innovative audiovisual demonstrations and creation of associated algorithms and tooling. Adam has a BMath from the University of Waterloo.
