Stochastic’s 2025 session, Alternative Frontiers, includes a special subgroup for pre idea and early stage founders to explore and iterate from within a unique community of committed innovators working at the intersections of art, technology, and science.

The program will support founders (at any stage of their career) as they navigate the rapidly evolving complexity of the AI/ML space, follow research, form relationships, and consider ethics and alignment concerns.

Note: while this program is intended primarily for founders launching AI/ML tools for creativity, we also encourage applications from mission-driven founders working on projects with prosocial and/or human flourishing themes as well as science-focused founders with a “creativity-forward” background.

Residencies include work space, housing (for those traveling from outside the bay area), and shop access. Residents participate in weekly lunches and dinners with the cohort and invited guests. Applicants may request funds to support travel and other expenses.
