Judy Jinn is a graduate student and National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow in the Department of Psychology at UC Berkeley. Her research focuses on learning and decision-making in animals as they navigate complex environments. She hopes to integrate the fields of cognition and biomechanics by modeling the effects of mechanical challenges and resource values on decision-making. At Stochastic Labs she worked with her advisor, Lucia Jacobs, and collaborator Nate Hunt to study squirrel jumping behavior, using modular magnetic platforms attached to a steel wall.
